We have had every intention of producing a sunumbra SPF15 product from the very beginning of our researches into producing natural, organic sunscreen products. It was intended to be the second product after the sunumbra® SPF30 was first introduced.
However, we are determined to produce one that has absolutely none of the current chemical or physical sunscreen filters used and only make use of specific botanical ingredients that provide protection from the sun. The process is taking far longer than we anticipated it would, not least of all due to regulation issues.
We were also persuaded to produce a product for children, which became the second product launched. Then a sunscreen that was more robust and had less colour was requested, specifically for the very active sports people and extreme outdoor enthusiasts.
So we have been taken off down different production routes than the initial desired SPF15 one. This doesn't mean we have neglected the R&D for the sunumbra® SPF15 product. Rather, we continue to be amased, delighted and excited with the potential discovered within nature to protect ourselves in a more natural way.
